LAUFEY • WADDAW T. SICORAVIT
TBC 🙂
Born on the same day (yet 24 years later) as an Icelandic singer and musician, Laufey Lín Bing Jónsdóttir, Laufey Waddaw Teerawatsakul Sicoravit also seems to enjoy many forms of music and arts while linguistic skill still prevails other aspects when it comes to the natural aptitude. At the age of 1.6 years old, she has already formed a complex 7-syllable sentence in Thai like “แด๊ดดี้สะดุดเก้าอี้เด็ก” [Daddy tripped over baby’s chair.] or a mind-blowing 9-syllable sentence like “แดดดี๊หยิบโอ๊ตมิล์ให้เฟย์ดื่มหน่อย” [Daddy, please bring oat milk for me to drink.]. Reading has been her all-time-favourite since just a few months old up till now. Before she turned 1 year old, Laufey had already showed the love of writing and drawing. She preferred normal-size pens, crayon, and colour pencils to the chubby kid’s size tools. She has also learnt piano and drums with mummy and ukulele with daddy; and learned about guitar, harp, cello, violin, flute, sax, and trumpet. Her favourite musical instrument thus far is a drum set.
We named her วาดดาว [Waddaw] in Thai which conveys “creating one own’s destiny while helping others find their ways,” for we would love her to lead life with her own unique will, always see beyond the horizon, and give hands to those in need when she can. On top, her name in both Thai and English is a palindrome 🙂
